Elvira Lind, classe 1981, è una regista danese basata a New York City. Nel 2014, il primo lungometraggio documentario di Lind, Songs for Alexis, è stato presentato in anteprima all’Hot Docs di Toronto e ha vinto numerosi festival cinematografici internazionali in tutto il mondo. Elvira ha vinto il Reel Talent Award al Copenhagen Documentary Festival per il suo lavoro. Nel 2017, ha diretto un nuovo documentario, Bobbi Jene, presentato in anteprima al Tribeca Film Festival dove ha vinto tutti i premi nella sua categoria: miglior documentario, miglior fotografia in un documentario e miglior montaggio in un documentario. Nel novembre 2020, il primo cortometraggio di finzione di Lind, The Letter Room, è stato presentato in anteprima all’HollyShorts Film Festival. È stato anche nominato per il miglior cortometraggio al Tribeca Film Festival, al Palm Springs International ShortFest e al Telluride Film Festival. Elvira Lind (born October 28, 1981) is a Danish film director based in New York City. In 2014, Lind’s first documentary feature Songs for Alexis premiered at Hot Docs in Toronto and won many international film festivals across the world. Elvira won the Reel Talent Award at the Copenhagen Documentary Festival for her work. In 2017, Lind directed a new feature documentary, Bobbi Jene. It premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival where it won all awards in its category: Best Documentary Feature, Best Cinematography in a Documentary Feature and Best Editing in a Documentary Feature. In November 2020, Lind’s first fiction short film The Letter Room premiered at HollyShorts Film Festival. It was also nominated for Best Short Film at Tribeca Film Festival, Palm Springs International ShortFest[5] and Telluride Film Festival. She got nominated for Best Live Action Short Film in the 93rd Academy Awards.
