GUERRA TRA POVERI – In una Roma periferica e multietnica, una madre e due fratelli vengono sfrattati dalla casa popolare in cui vivono. I due fratelli, convinti che essa sia stata assegnata a degli extracomunitari, decidono di farsi giustizia da soli e di riprendersi ad ogni costo la loro abitazione.

WAR AMONG THE POOR – In one of Rome’s suburbs, a multiethnic and diverse neighborhood, a mother and her two sons are evicted from their home. The two brothers, convinced that it is being reassigned to an immigrant family, will decide to take justice into their own hands. They will do anything to take their home back.

Kassim Yassin Saleh è nato a Giubiti nel 1966. Ha lasciato il suo paese negli anni ‘90 arrivando a stabilirsi a Roma. Ha iniziato lavorando nei cantieri, poi è passato alle boutique di lusso e infine è stato notato e assunto da un fotografo per una campagna pubblicitaria. Nel 2007 è stato scelto da Joseph Lefevre come protagonista del film “Said” e, dopo alcune esperienze come attore, si è dedicato alla scrittura e alla regia di cortometraggi e film. “Guerra tra Poveri” (2022) è il suo ultimo cortometraggio.

Kassim Yassin Saleh was born in Djibouti in 1966. He left his home country in the 90s, coming eventually to Rome. He began to work in construction sites, then he worked for various luxury boutiques where he was noticed and hired by a photographer for an ad campaign. In 2007 he was chosen by Joseph Lefevre as the protagonist for the film “Said”. After some other acting experiences, he began to explore screenwriting and directing for short films. “Guerra tra Poveri” (2022) is his latest work.
