MISSION & OBJECTIVE
The mission of SOUQ FILM FESTIVAL (SFF) is to explore the theme of Urban Suffering in its broadest sense by showcasing a selection of fiction and documentary short films by both emerging and established filmmakers. The festival believes that promoting films addressing issues such as prison justice, mental health, immigration, and equality — including gender equality and LGBTQIA+ rights — is a way to celebrate diversity, challenge harmful stereotypes, and foster a culture of inclusion and understanding.
ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
SOUQ Film Festival is organized since 2012 by Fondazione Casa della Carità.
The twelfth edition of the festival, organized by Fondazione Casa della Carità will take place at the prestigious ‘Anteo Palazzo del Cinema’ from October 24 to October 26, 2025.
