A talented pianist and his 8-year-old son struggle to find a spot to sell vegetables in Moldova’s largest market in the early 2000s. When the father seems ready to give up under the weight of his precarious life, a small gesture from his son rekindles hope.

Un talentuoso pianista e suo figlio di 8 anni lottano per trovare un posto dove vendere verdure nel mercato più grande della Moldavia nei primi anni 2000. Quando il padre sembra pronto a cedere sotto il peso di un’esistenza precaria, un piccolo gesto del figlio riaccende la speranza.

Vlad Bolgarin is a Moldovan film director and producer. He studied Filmmaking at the Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts in Chisinau and is the head of VOLT Cinematography, a film production and post-production studio. He is known for the short films Sigh and Place Under the Sun (Shanghai IFF, Sarajevo FF, Busan ISFF, Animayo) and for the Moldovan-American series Lost in Moldova (LA Shorts, Seriencamp, Berlin Webfest). He is currently developing several new short films and his debut feature.

Vlad Bolgarin è un regista e produttore moldavo. Ha studiato regia all’Accademia di Musica, Teatro e Belle Arti di Chișinău ed è il direttore di VOLT Cinematography, uno studio di produzione e post-produzione cinematografica. È conosciuto per i cortometraggi Sigh e Place Under the Sun (Shanghai IFF, Sarajevo FF, Busan ISFF, Animayo) e per la serie moldavo-americana Lost in Moldova (LA Shorts, Seriencamp, Berlin Webfest). Attualmente sta sviluppando diversi nuovi cortometraggi e il suo primo lungometraggio di finzione.
