Gordon, l’ex guardiano di un faro ora trasformato in un museo, è disperato alla ricerca di qualcuno che lo aiuti a mantenere il sito. Quando Musa, un rifugiato afghano, bussa alla sua porta, Gordon finalmente trova l’aiutante che stava aspettando. I due uomini diventano amici, affrontando le loro rispettive culture e passati con umorismo e gentilezza. Ma quando Gordon scopre le vere intenzioni della visita di Musa, si trova di fronte a un dilemma morale che sconvolge tutte le sue certezze…

Gordon, the former keeper of a lighthouse now turned into a museum, is desperate for someone to help him maintain the site. When Musa, an Afghan refugee, comes knocking on his door, Gordon finally finds the helper he has been waiting for. The two men become friends, confronting their respective cultures and pasts with humour and kindness. But when Gordon discovers the true intentions of Musa’s visit, he is faced with a moral dilemma that upsets all his certainties…

Lewis Rose è uno sceneggiatore, regista e attore occasionale. Gli piace creare commedie, montare su musica e utilizzare primi piani ravvicinati di volti umani. Il suo lavoro di finzione è stato proiettato in tutto il mondo, con il cortometraggio The Chop (Vincitore del Premio della Giuria SFF 2016) che ha vinto 50 premi ed è stato presentato in quasi 200 festival. Attualmente sta sviluppando il suo primo lungometraggio con Bridge Way Films. Realizza anche spot pubblicitari e video musicali, per i quali ha vinto un UKMVA.

Lewis Rose is a writer, director and occasional actor. He likes making comedy, cutting to music and big close-ups of human faces. His fiction work has screened around the world, with his short The Chop (2016 SFF Jury Award) picking up 50 awards and screening at nearly 200 festivals. He is currently developing his first feature with Bridge Way Films. He also makes commercials and music videos, for which he won a UKMVA.
