La regista vuole mettere in scena uno spettacolo con protagonista il suo fidanzato… Ma il ragazzo non gradisce il trucco e i vestiti femminili scelti per la pièce e si rifiuta di uscire dal ruolo maschile tradizionale che la società gli ha assegnato, anche solo per una recita.

Faride Shafiei (Iran, 1979) studied Cinema and Screenwriting at Tehran Art University before working for 20 years in a male-dominated business world. A committed women’s rights activist, she tells stories about women and their daily struggles through film. After taking masterclasses with Asghar Farhadi, she directed her first short film, Akhlil.

Faride Shafiei (Iran, 1979) ha studiato Cinema e Sceneggiatura alla Tehran Art University e ha lavorato per 20 anni nel mondo degli affari, dominato dagli uomini. Attivista per i diritti delle donne, racconta attraverso il cinema le sfide quotidiane delle donne. Dopo aver seguito masterclass con Asghar Farhadi, ha diretto il suo primo cortometraggio, Akhlil.
