Una studentessa delle scuole superiori rurali, Burul, è interessata al wrestling. L’allenatore, però, non le permette di frequentare la palestra maschile, costringendola ad allenarsi a casa da sola. Anche il padre di Burul non crede che il wrestling sia adatto alle ragazze perciò le proibisce di allenarsi. Intanto, un ragazzo di un villaggio vicino, dopo numerosi tentativi di approccio falliti, decide di rapire Burul per sposarla.

A rural high school student, Burul, is interested in wrestling. However, the coach does not allow her to train in the boys’ gym, forcing her to practice alone at home. Burul’s father also believes that wrestling is not suitable for girls, so he forbids her from training. Meanwhile, a boy from a nearby village, after several failed attempts to approach her, decides to kidnap Burul to marry her.

Adilet Karzhoev nasce nel 1988 in Kirghizistan. Nel 2011 consegue la laurea presso l’Università Kirghiso-Turca di Manas, dipartimento di Radio, TV e Cinema. Nel 2019 consegue un Master presso l’American University in Asia centrale. Adilet produce numerosi documentari e film di finzione, spesso vincitori di importanti festival cinematografici internazionali. Adilet attualmente insegna al dipartimento di TV, cinema e arti visive presso l’American University in Asia centrale.

Adilet Karzhoev was born in 1988 in Kyrgyzstan. In 2011, he graduated from Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University with a degree in Radio, TV, and Cinema. In 2019, he earned a Master’s degree from the American University of Central Asia. Adilet produces numerous documentaries and fictional films, many of which have won prestigious international film festivals. He currently teaches in the Department of TV, Cinema, and Visual Arts at the American University of Central Asia.
